I do accept commissions. Although I have done commissions that are not animals, I no longer accept those commissions. If you would like to commission me for an animal, the process is easy. All you need to do is contact me by clicking on the "Contact" button above. I require a 50% non-refundable deposit* on booking, with the balance due upon completion.
My commissions are created using high quality soft pastels and pastel pencils. The paper I use is Clairefontaine Pastelmat which is a perfect surface to capture the details needed in animals for my pieces.
*Deposits are non-refundable except in the unfortunate case where I have to cancel your commission due to unforeseen circumstances, whereby I will refund your deposit in full.
Pricing: These sizes and prices are a rough guide. I would be happy to quote on other sizes, but I do not do smaller pieces due to the detail in each piece, and I do not do anything larger than the largest size listed. If you want something in a different size in between, please contact me and we can discuss it.
Photos: I work from photos, preferably digital. They must be clear, good quality photos. My style is based on realism, thus needs to show lots of detail. I must work from good quality photos to achieve this. If I have poor photos, I can't get the detail that I want to give you in your commissioned piece.
When you receive your finished piece, I'll include a note on how to look after your piece so you can enjoy it for many years. Pastels need to be framed behind glass, which is why you'll need to get your finished piece framed by a professional with experience in framing pastels. Your framer needs to take extra care with it so as not so smudge it....pastel is a powder, so it will smudge if you touch it!
